Allow keystrokes to go directly into the command-line.
Allow quick-search with alt or ctrl, etc. |

making text go into command line would simplify directory navigation for those (like me), who are used to type cd ...... and get in correct dir |

I completely agree!! Please, it's just a checkbox or radio to select between this mode or the default quicksearch mode. It would be really good to have this setting available. I keep pressing ALT to search, can't help it! Thanks. |

Yes, this is a must!
just like others I suggest to add a checkbox switching between two modes: quicksearch and direct command line+quicksearch with a configurable combination of lalt, ralt, ctrl, shift. |

Another vote from me to this option!
It's really annoying to reach for the mouse only for one reason - to enter the command line...
Apart from this - krusader is GREAT! |

You don't have to use the mouse for this: Try CTRL+Up/CTRL+Down.
The feature is about direct typing. |

Thanks! It needs to get used to, but it works good for me.
Just found the key binding overview - there are some nice features to try out... |

I am also really interested in this feature!
(or, at least make the keyboard shortcut less annoying -- the down key is far away...)
(+, it seem that ~ expansion doesn't work for 'cd' from the commandline. I think this is a bug)
Other than these issues, I really like krusader! |

That is really clumsy UI bug. Why it is not fixed already considering its simplicity?? |

| I stopped using krusader and turned back to mc just because of this misbehavior. |
