Here you get a chance to contribute to the project. From time to time we'll post things that need to be done, but can't be done by us. If you feel you can help, please follow the appropriate link. Thank you!
Documentation
While we get a lot of support from translators, other developers and bug hunters, the documentation stands solely on two people, both writing and proofreading the ever changing documentation, to be always on the same wavelength as the functions and features of the file manager. After a long period of preparation, now the Krew started changing the structure of Krusader, the twin panel file manager, for compatibility with upcoming release of KDE4, which brings changes to the core of the program. At the same time this upgrade will also enable adding new features, removing obsolete ones and changing the existing.
The Krew calls out for all the users, writers, proofreaders and sympathizers of open software, to help the project with the documentation. It doesn't matter if your English is not perfect, there will be a proofreader helping you with it, it doesn't matter if you're not sure if you can do it, someone will surely help you get the hang of it and it doesn't matter if you don't have a lot of time, bit by bit we all can do it.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have started working on the Krusader FAQ. If you have a question you want to add to the FAQ, please let us know.
OpenUsability
Using a program, understanding its interface and getting information out is something that should always be clear in every application, no matter how advanced your understanding of operating systems is or how deep is your computer literacy. For that reason Krusader asked to be included in OpenUsability project.
This project joins the software developers and usability experts in an attempt to check all parts of a user interface for the inappropriate entries. Its main goal is making user interfaces and dialogs understandable and friendly to every user. We need your, our users comments, to make things better. In case you find a part of the program's interface to be too complicated, please do help us correct it and make it better.
Packagers
We are always in need of packagers. If you intend to supply a package for Krusader, please make sure to have a look at our Package Naming guidelines.
Patches
We have opened the SourceForge patch tracker. It provides a central place for pending modifications of the Krusader file manager and is supposed to improve the visibility of existing patches. If you have fixed a bug or written some code for a new feature, please submit it giving a good description of what you've done. Feel free to announce your work at the krusader-devel mailing list.

Naming scheme
Do you want to supply a package? In order to provide as much information as possible about your package with the filename, please try to follow our package naming scheme:
- Black parts (bold) are required and fix
- Red parts are required and have to be substituted
- Green parts (in squared brackets) are optional and have to be substituted
Note: Of course there are exceptions. Slackware or Debian for instance come with their own naming schemes. Changing them will most likely confuse the package manager. Therefore our naming scheme is mainly intended for RPM based systems.
